A little birdie told me that Nulli Secunda are going to try and take a patch of Querious for themselves after IT finishes dying. It would be unfortunate if they got chased down and humiliated further as a result of that information getting out.

What motivation is there to do this? If one presupposes that the goal of concentrated warfare against an opponent is to win that conflict, then I can see no benefit to allowing the opponent choice of battlefield or situation. If you're worried about something so outmoded and utterly irrelevant to warfare as decency or honor, then you should stay out of warfare entirely. |

I see what you're trying to say: that the taking of A2- is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, and that it can easily be retaken. That is true. And if you want take the long view of history, you could just sum it up with "some things in space will be destroyed, and more things in space will be constructed to replace them". In the grand scheme of the cosmos, nothing any of us does is truly significant or lasting. You can't really use the irrelevance of any entity or its actions, in space or otherwise, as an argument against its significance or lasting virtue of its presence, unless you are also willing to admit your own irrelevance. I'm certainly willing to do that; but, I take everything I do in life very lightly, and I am willing to wager that you and yours would be a lot more worked-up about being made to see your own irrelevance. I'd caution you to shy away from that road, for it is wrought with sharp peril just waiting to burst fragile egos. |

Originally by: Two Shots utter garbage about relevancy
I wish people would stop jumping to the "YOU'RE IRRELEVANT, SO YOUR OPINION MEANS JACK ALL!!!11!!!!11!" card all the time. I made a simple, yet fateful prediction. Does it matter who I am, or what I've done to make such a prediction? My time in the pod says I have had the time to watch and understand the dynamics of warfare on the gala-political level. If you were to truly dig into my history, you'd see I've had the opportunity to be both blue and hostile to IT, and the same for their enemies respectively.
I think, if anything, my opinion above is pretty fair and rather neutral.
Oh, and that A2- borders empire (khanid space) cannot possibly have anything to do with this... *sarcasm*
I won't pretend to know what nerve I struck in you, but it seems you are very quick to dismiss my words and jump on your soap box. I did not call you or anyone else irrelevant; I, in fact, alleged that the "irrelevant" argument--which we are all now fully aware you violently oppose--is facetious and not useful when discussing the affairs of human beings on a galactic scale. Now that we have established that we both dislike hearing people use that argument, would you like to comment on my statements? Alternately, you can continue to crow to the crowd from atop your soap box and I'm sure you'll earn a few heckles from the peanut gallery for your effort.

Our standings with various entities are generally private for obvious reasons. As spoon has stated our diplomats have been working tirelessly in this area for some time to establish the necessary political framework for this to be effective. I would ask that you check the map in a few weeks as things start to settle down.
Could you explain the "obvious reasons" behind this privacy? Most organizations of which I am aware in nullsec tend to keep their lists of enemies and friends fairly public, as this makes it easier to find more like-minded friends. It also sometimes assists in recruitment to your cause, as many individual pilots or entire alliances may have a particular bone to pick with one of your enemies or blindly assume you're an alright lot due to your friendship with one of your already-existent allies.
With you getting your toes wet in The Big Game you will want to become aware of how the game works out here in the wild depths of space and leave behind preconceived notions, as many of them simply do not work and can be used against you. You are a small entity. No amount of platitudes about faith or honor or loyalty will make you any bigger or meaner than you are, or stop a determined enemy from ruining the experience of your pilots should they decide to focus on you. Your first order of business will be to make friends and prove yourself useful to them so that they have a reason to want to help you remain autonomous and functional. Pride such that it prevents you from bending to the accepted ways of doing things out here will go shortly before you are descended upon by truly terrible enemies (and that's just our posting! You can't imagine how inept we are in space).
